Please note that, pursuant to New York State Limited Liability Company Law Section 206, within 120 days after the filing of the initial Articles of Organization, a limited liability company must publish a notice of formation of the Articles of Organization with two newspapers designated by the county clerk of the county in which the LLC is located. The notice is published once a week for six consecutive weeks and the costs of publishing vary from county to county, ranging from $300 to $2,500. Please note that an LLC will be suspended if it does not comply with Section 206 of the Limited Liability Company Law. A Certificate of Publication must be filed with the Department of State upon completion of the six week advertisement, along with the Affidavits of Publication from each newspaper.
